TenantDen

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 6, 2026

We at TenantDen, Inc. ("TenantDen," "our," "we," or "us") value our users' privacy as we know that you care about how your personal information is collected, used, safeguarded, and shared, and we take that seriously. Please read the following terms to learn more about your privacy. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") will help you understand how we collect and use personal information from those who access and make use of our Site and the services that we offer. This Policy also helps you understand the rights and choices you have with respect to your personal information.

By accessing or using the Service in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you consent that we will collect, use, and share your information as described below.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to make changes to this Policy at any time. To stay current with the latest changes, we advise you to visit this page frequently. If at any point TenantDen decides to use any personally identifiable information on file in a manner vastly different from that which was stated when this information was initially collected, the user or users will be promptly notified by email and will have the option whether to permit the use of their information in that separate manner.

What does this Privacy Policy cover?

This Policy applies to TenantDen and governs all data collection and usage by us in compliance with applicable regulations. Through your use of these Services, you consent to the data collection procedures expressed in this Policy.

We gather various types of information from our users, as explained below, and we use this information internally in connection with our Services — including to personalize, provide, and improve our Services, to allow you to make payments, to communicate with you, and to analyze how you use the Services. In certain cases, we may also share some information with third parties, but only as described below.

This Policy does not govern the collection and use of information by companies that TenantDen does not control, nor by individuals not employed or managed by us. If you visit a website made available via the Service or a link, review its privacy policy before providing information.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

"Account profile and Personal Information" means any information that, alone or in combination with other information we hold about you, identifies you as an individual or a business — for example, your contact information such as your name, email address, telephone number, location information, demographic information, and any other non-public information about you that is associated with the foregoing. You may add a photo, profession, and other details to your public-facing profile; when you create your profile, others can view certain details about your activity on the Services, including content you post and your interests. We collect this information when you sign up for the Service, engage our interactive services, submit feedback and survey responses, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us.

"Anonymous/Aggregated Data" means data that is not associated with or linked to your Personal Information and does not, by itself, permit identification of individual persons. We collect, use, and share Anonymous Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. If we combine Aggregated Data with your personal information so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal information under this Policy.

You can choose not to provide certain information, but this may limit the features of the Services you can use.

Information we collect automatically

Usage Data: When you access or use our Services, we collect details of your visit such as traffic data, date and time of visit, logs, location, error-tracking information, and other usage data and resources you access.

Device and location information: We may collect information about your mobile device, internet connection, and computer, such as your operating system, IP address, and browser type (for example, via Google Analytics). We may also collect location through geolocation technology.

Cookies: We may send one or more cookies to your device to uniquely identify your browser, to improve our software and service, store preferences, and track trends. You can refuse browser cookies through your browser or device settings, though some features may then be unavailable. The cookie practices described in this section apply to all cookies we use.

Links: Content on the Service may include links that allow us to track whether links have been followed by IP addresses, which we use to improve our services and design.

Beacons: Beacons (also "pixel tags" or "clear GIFs") allow us to count users who have accessed the Service and recognize users via cookies, to facilitate Service administration and navigation, track actions, compile aggregated statistics, and improve the experience.

Analytics services: We may use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics to collect, monitor, report, and analyze how users use our Services. These services may use cookies and may transmit analytics information to compile reports on user activity, restricted by each service's terms and privacy policy.

Payment transaction information: Through a third-party payment processor such as Stripe, Inc. (or another processor we may use), certain financial information for payment transactions on our Services may be collected, including payment amount, date and time, instrument expiration date, billing postcode, address, and other transaction details.

Information automatically collected by third parties: Some embedded content may be served by third-party service providers that may use cookies or similar technologies to collect data about you, subject to their own privacy policies.

This site only collects personal information that you knowingly and willingly provide, such as via surveys, completed forms, and emails. TenantDen intends to use personal information only for the purpose for which it was requested and for additional uses specifically provided for in this Policy.

What We Use Your Personal Information For

  • To create and service your user account and enable certain functionalities.
  • To validate your identity and secure your account — e.g., by sending an email or SMS to confirm you own the email address or phone number linked to your account.
  • To facilitate processing of your payments and to communicate with you about our services or changes to our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, or other applicable policies.
  • To personalize content and information, offer location customization (where permitted), connect you with other users, and develop and offer new features.
  • To conduct research and analysis to help develop relevant and helpful features.
  • Communication purposes: We may send emails, product updates, and related messages to the email address you provide, and text messages to any mobile number you have provided and for which you have opted in (see "SMS / Text Messaging Program" below), for informational and operational purposes such as account management, customer service, and system maintenance.
  • Fraud detection and prevention: To maintain the safety and security of our products, services, and community; detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and protect against identity theft and other criminal activity.
  • Provide, troubleshoot, and improve the Services: To understand, diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix issues; and to operate, evaluate, develop, manage, and improve our Services, including accounting, auditing, billing reconciliation, and other internal functions.
  • Legal compliance: To stay in compliance with laws, industry standards, this Policy, and our Terms and Conditions.

Advertising: We may use information you make available to us to serve interest-based advertising and to measure the effectiveness and reach of our ads. Where required, we will obtain your permission first. As stated below, your mobile/SMS opt-in data is never used or shared for third-party marketing or advertising.

Personal Information That We Share

Except as described below, we do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share personal information collected through the Service, because we are committed to maintaining your trust:

  • With other TenantDen users: We may share certain information you make publicly available on your profile, such as your name, username, and profile image, to facilitate rentals.
  • Service providers: We may provide collected data to service providers (such as payment processors and message-delivery providers) who perform services on our behalf — including identity verification, fraud prevention, transaction processing, account maintenance, and customer support — with controlled, limited access to user information and bound to use it only to provide those services.
  • Subsidiaries, business partners and affiliates: We may share personal information with subsidiaries and affiliates for the purposes for which you provided it or as reasonably necessary for our internal administrative and business purposes. We may also share information with business partners as described to you at the time of collection. (See the SMS/mobile-data exclusion below.)
  • Analytics partners: We may make certain personal information available to third parties for analytics purposes solely to improve and deliver the Services. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
  • Merger and acquisition: We may transfer information to a third party that acquires all or part of TenantDen's business, whether by merger, consolidation, purchase of assets, or in connection with bankruptcy or reorganization.
  • Compliance with laws: We may disclose information where required by law or legal process, in response to government or law-enforcement requests or a valid subpoena, or as necessary in connection with an investigation of illegal activity.
  • Consent: We may share personal information in accordance with any consent you provide.
  • Aggregate information: We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you.

Exclusion for SMS and mobile opt-in data. Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, no mobile information, text-messaging originator opt-in data, or SMS consent will be shared with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This information is used solely to deliver the SMS messages you have requested and is excluded from all of the sharing categories described above. See the "SMS / Text Messaging Program" section below.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate, essential business purposes — such as maintaining performance, making data-driven decisions about new features, complying with legal obligations, and resolving disputes. We keep some personal information for as long as you are a user.

On request, we will delete or anonymize your personal information so it no longer identifies you, unless we are legally permitted or required to retain it, including where: there is an unresolved issue such as a claim or dispute; we must retain it for legal, tax, audit, or accounting obligations; or retention is necessary for legitimate business interests such as fraud prevention and platform security.

Your Privacy Rights

Applicable data-protection regulations grant you certain rights:

  • Rectification or erasure — to correct inaccurate data or request erasure where the data is no longer needed, where you withdraw consent, or where you believe processing is unlawful. We will take reasonable steps to inform recipients of your data of an erasure request. We may be legally required or entitled to retain some information.
  • Restriction of processing — to request we refrain from processing your data in certain circumstances.
  • Data portability — to request your data be made available so you can transfer it to another controller.
  • Objection — to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including direct marketing and profiling.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, by emailing support@tenantden.com.
  • Complaint — to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, though we appreciate the chance to address concerns first at support@tenantden.com.

Keeping Your Data Safe

We are committed to protecting your data and adopt commercially reasonable physical and electronic measures to ensure the integrity and security of the Personal Information we hold. Payment transactions are encrypted in transit using TLS (formerly SSL) technology. If you have chosen a password, you are responsible for keeping it confidential. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and although we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security; any transmission is at your own risk. We have implemented encryption, access, and retention policies to guard against unauthorized access and unnecessary retention.

Additional Privacy Rights for California Residents

If you are a California resident, this section provides additional information about your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA").

Personal information we collect

Over the past twelve months we have collected the following categories from California residents: unique identifiers (e.g., first and last name, gender, address, IP address); internet or other electronic network activity (e.g., content interaction, downloads, search history, transaction and interaction data, and link activity in our emails); geolocation data; photo, video, or visual information such as your profile photo; inference data such as purchase preferences, interests, feedback, and survey responses; and other information that identifies or can reasonably be associated with you.

How we collect personal information

We obtain these categories directly from users who provide the information; indirectly as you navigate the Services (via cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies); and from third-party service providers.

Categories disclosed for a business purpose

Over the past twelve months we disclosed for a business purpose: identifiers (name, email address, billing address, IP address); personal information such as a payment card number processed by a third-party processor; protected classifications such as age, age range, or gender if you participate in a survey; and geolocation data from your IP address.

Access request rights

You have the right to request that we disclose the categories of personal information we collected about you, the categories of sources, our business or commercial purpose for collecting it, the categories shared with service providers, and the specific pieces of personal information collected, over the past twelve months. Only you or someone legally authorized may make a verifiable consumer request; designated agents must submit proof of authorization. You may make up to two such requests in a twelve-month period.

Right to deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal information. We may deny a request where retaining the information is necessary to complete the purpose for which it was collected, provide a requested service, perform our contract with you, detect security incidents and protect against fraudulent or illegal activity, exercise free speech, comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act or other legal obligations, or make other internal and lawful uses compatible with the context in which you provided it.

No discrimination

You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights under the CCPA, and TenantDen will not discriminate against any consumer for doing so.

Children Under the Age of 18 / Age Restriction

TenantDen's Services are not directed to, and do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from, children under the age of eighteen (18). If we determine that such information has been inadvertently collected from anyone under 18, we will take the necessary steps to delete it from our systems.

Your Choices; Unsubscribe or Opt-Out
